InnoCash, FECYT - Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (INC-0150)
Duration: 2010 - 2011
CALITOM aims at developing new tomato varieties of high-added value in a collaborative project involving tomato growers, tomato breeders, and research groups from a number of public research centres.
The project was made possible by a strategic commitment from investors, mostly Spanish tomato growers, who are looking for technology innovation as an option to compete with others in countries with cheaper labour or pioneering technologies.
